Mancat Monday

Real Mancats like ride-on toys, too.

(At least somebody gets to use it since our blurpy doesn't understand how to ride it yet.)

Mancat Monday

Mommy has been trying to upload this photo to stoopid blogger for a day and a half now. STOOPID blogger...

So, Happy Belated Mancat Monday!!

We forgot to mention in our last post that we had so much fun getting our Secret Paw package ready to send out! Our Secret Paw this year was Laila and Minchie. We had so much fun shopping and getting their package ready. We hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting it together for them!! Meowy Christmouse Laila and Minchie!!

P.S. Mommy says here is a funny story for the beans.... When she was at the post office, she had about 8 different packages to mail including our secret paw package. She was doing the labels and realized that she let us draw all over the one to some of our bean family in Arizona. We wrote "Shhhhh... It's Your Secret Paw" and "Meowy Christmouse" and some other stuff. Mommy did a quick check and saw that and thought oh well... it's going to our beans in Az anyway. Then she drew on Laila and Minchie's package just like we drew for them on the package that went to our beans. Ha! Mommy had a good laugh about that one.

Mancat Monday

Happy Mancat Monday everykitty! It's very rainy here in Lansdowne. But, we are happy because our Dee Ree is on vacation all week so she can come over and play laser and string with us (oh yeah, and help mommy with our blurpy sister, too, if she has time after we're done all our playing).

Mancat Monday and Chinese Cat Roundups

Happy Mancat Monday Everyone! We are not sure if we told you about Mr. Chen's fascination with string but he loves the stuff. In fact, he's totally addicted to it. Sometimes Ollie gets in on the string action, too..

UPDATE: The Easter Bunny did not bring the blurpy girl yesterday. We were all wondering but nope, not yet...

In other nooos, we here are all very upset about the Chinese cat round-ups and inhumane treatment we first read about on the Cat Realm's blog. We signed the petition but there must be more we can do together to create awareness about this and try to make it stop. Since we were all feeling a little helpless, we did some googling to see what else we could do to help.

We propose some ideas of how we can work together to stop this horrible feline genocide in China. (Many of these were found on the Toronto Humane Society's website.)
1. If every kitty in the cat blogosphere were to write a letter to the local and major media outlets, perhaps it would help gain enough attention.
2. Contact the International Olympics Committee directly at pressoffice@olympic.org.
3. If you work for or are willing to contact the humane society in your area, ask them to collectivtly write to the IOC and the Beijing Games organizers and Media and Communication contacts.
4. Contact and write to the sponors of the games to let them know if they don't step in and put pressure on the Chinese organizers and government to end their inhumane cat genocide, animal lovers around the world will never buy their products.
5. Write to or contact the Chinese ambassador for your country and ask him or her to intervene now!

What else can we do together to make this stop???

Mancat Monday and a Feral Friend

Popeye (you might need to biggify)

Well, lately Mommy and Daddy have been feeding a feral kitty who likes to hang out in our backyard and under the pool deck. Mommy named him Popeye because one day when she saw him his right eye was closed and she thought he was missing an eye. The next day when they saw him again, the eye was open (he fooled her!). Several times Popeye is limping and looks like he's been in a fight. Popeye has also been seen with his girlfriend (um, Daddy actually saw him "in action" so he must not have had his hoohaectomy yet). Mommy wishes she could catch him and take him in to get neutered or checked out but with the blurpy girl in her belly, she's not able to run much these days. So, they have been feeding him really good foods (actually better nutritious food than we get because Mr. Chen's belly is so sensitive, he can't eat the Verus food anymore.) We like to watch Popeye and sometimes his friends come around, too. Mommy and Daddy will keep feeding him and might even try to build him a little bed or something for him to keep warm. We formerly ferals and formerly shelter kitties sure are lucky to have our forever homes. There are so many kitties who do not. We must try to help them whenever we can!!

Mancat Monday and Purring for Suzie

Happy Mancat Monday everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the Oscars last night. We missed them (and the voting over at Cat Realm) because of, well... you guessed it... the blurply girl. Mommy and Daddy had *another* shower thrown for them, this time by Mommy's mommy and some friends. They felt very special because some really special people came in for it incluing Olympia's family from Nooo York and also Aunt Stacey from Noo York. And, mommy's oldest friend, Heather (Mango Pickle's) mommy, flew in from O-Hi-O. Mommy and Daddy said it was very overwhelming and wonderful!

Then, after they got home they went next door to our neighbor's house to see our neighbors because their woofie, Suzie, (who you may remember as our NOMSS) is not doing well. Suzie is very old (she is 12 years old which is very old for a woofie) and has very bad arthritis and now it seems she is unable to hold herself up to go to the bathroom and is having a lot of trouble walking and doing anything for herself anymore. Please send Suzie some purrs and good healing thoughts.

Today is a happy day because Mao has returned home (he just wanted to go on a walk-about) and Annie has been sighted nearby her home. We are happy our friends in the Cat Blogosphere are ok!!

Mancat Monday

What a busy weekend! Mommy hasn't helped us blog or visit our friends since last week. Mommy and Daddy went to New York City on Saturday for two parties. Then today they had another party. Tomorrow mommy leaves for Minnesota and then Friday daddy leaves for New York City. We do not approve of all this hustle and bustle and then extra work trips to boot! Shouldn't December be for snuggling and fires and staying at home?
