Hanging with Dad
One of the things we most love in the world so far is our Daddy. These photos weren't taken today but we plan to get some quality lap time with Daddy later this afternoon when we're done watching the birdies.

Keep Our Pets Safe Cybermarch
Today is the Pets Need a Voice Too Keep Our Pets Safe Cybermarch across North America to raise awareness about the pet food recalls and the number of pets lost due to the tainted food. There is also a My Pet Counts Postcard Blitz to help the FDA understand just how many pets we have lost. We think it is so important to keep awareness about this issue high to get the FDA to realize that so many more than 16 pets have been lost and yet more foods continue to be announced. We must all protect our global furry family. Our hearts and prayers go out to all families who have lost their beloved pets due to the recalled foods or are waiting for their pets to get well.
Photo Hunters #2 Rare
Today's Photo Hunters theme is "Rare" so we have decided to post some photos of us doing rare things or taking advantage of rare opportunities. Enjoy!
Here is Chenny getting ready to read the Sunday paper.
How often do you get to play with not just 1 or 2 but 4 sparkly miceys?
Here is Ollie at a rare moment when Mommy and Daddy got their new bed and had to clear out the entire bedroom. Ollie loves to be involved in project work!
It is pretty rare to have your own private may pole to play with, don't ya think?
Happy Saturday - may you find a rare moment of fun, too!

More food recalls
We are so saddened to learn that there are more pet food recalls announced yesterday. For a complete list of recalled foods, check out the FDA website. Please be careful everyone!

Mr. Chen Spies the Robins
Well, we finally got our movie of Mr. Chen quacking like a duck at the birdies up on Google video. Here is the link to the video. Make sure you turn the volume way up since he a soft quacker when it comes to chasing robins.

(We're so new to the movie stuff. We have a lot to learn about production values and how to properly embed movies in blogger pages. We'll get there. Thanks for your patience!)

Waitin' on the Internets
Well with your encouragement we did some google searching and learned how to make a movie so you could see how duck-like Mr. Chen is when he spies the robins. We were able to make the movie but now we can not get it posted on You Tube (somehow we're ineligible even when mommy helped fudge our ages a bit) or Google Video (Internal server error, please try again later). I guess we'll try again tomorrow. For now, here are some photos of us lounging to represent our wait to get Mr. Chen's video to load.

Chenny Chases the Robins
Yesterday in the freak mid-April nor'easter snowstorm, Mr. Chen was delighted by the robins that were snowed out of their homes. He was so excited that he was quackin' like a duck at them! We hope to post a movie of him quacking soon...

Announcing Mango Pickle!
Ok, now you know we don't normally post about puppies on this blog but Mommy is so excited about this, she is making us post about Mango Pickle. Mango Pickle is the newest member of our beloved Sneds' family. He was picked out last Sat. here in Pennsylvania and driven to his new forever home in Columbus. Isn't he handsome?? Mommy and Daddy say they can't wait to meet him. (We don't mind waiting though.)

Our 50th Post
Wow! It's our 50th post. Celebrate with us by jumping - either up and down for joy (like Ollie) or onto your favorite bean's lap to take a nap (like Chenny).

Making new friends
We're making so many new friends as a result of becoming part of the Cat Blogosphere. Any cats new to blogging out there are sure to find lots of new like-minded kitties. Why just yesterday I was checking out Miles' latest post on Meezer Tales about his peanut "my-grane". But, then I got distracted and had to go jump on the printer to make sure it works alright.

Call Me Mackerel
Mommy and Daddy heard someone call Ollie a "mackerel" recently and they'd never heard this before. Some quick googling reveals that tabby coloration occurs when cats are allowed to breed randomly. And, that mackerel coloration is most likely the common wild phenotype of the domestic cat. Interesting, huh?
