Sad day

Today is a very hard and very sad day as our beloved woofie friend and neighbor, Suzie, is going to be helped to the Rainbow Bridge by her daddy today. We are purring and purring for her and her mommy and daddy on this very hard, sad day. Mommy helped us understand that she is in so much pain it is not fair to not help her to the bridge where she can run and play with our Big Brother Bingo, Olympia, Caesar, and all those who've come before. We love you, Suzie!!! We will see you again someday...

p.s. Thank you so much everyone for your purrs about our friend Suzie. Her daddy actually did take her to an accupuncturist yesterday so we will keep purring and purring that helps her feel better.

Mancat Monday and Purring for Suzie

Happy Mancat Monday everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the Oscars last night. We missed them (and the voting over at Cat Realm) because of, well... you guessed it... the blurply girl. Mommy and Daddy had *another* shower thrown for them, this time by Mommy's mommy and some friends. They felt very special because some really special people came in for it incluing Olympia's family from Nooo York and also Aunt Stacey from Noo York. And, mommy's oldest friend, Heather (Mango Pickle's) mommy, flew in from O-Hi-O. Mommy and Daddy said it was very overwhelming and wonderful!

Then, after they got home they went next door to our neighbor's house to see our neighbors because their woofie, Suzie, (who you may remember as our NOMSS) is not doing well. Suzie is very old (she is 12 years old which is very old for a woofie) and has very bad arthritis and now it seems she is unable to hold herself up to go to the bathroom and is having a lot of trouble walking and doing anything for herself anymore. Please send Suzie some purrs and good healing thoughts.

This week's theme is wooden and for that we thought we'd show you more photos of the new wood floor our daddy is laying in the blurpy girl's room. The floor is actually done. This weeekend Daddy needs to finish the quarter round and then the floor will be complete!

Snowy Friday

It's been another very busy week for Mommy and Daddy but today is a great day because we are all SNOWED IN! Mommy and Daddy are both working from home so we get to have them to ourselves and watch the snow together today. Sorry we haven't been around to visit much. Mancat Monday Or Toesises Tuesday

Since this post shows both my manly posing and also my manly toesies, I officially decree it a double whammy! (Plus, mommy is too lazy, er, I mean tired to post two entries.)

Sunny Saturday

Isn't it nice when the sun is out on Saturday? We are having a good day so far helping mommy and daddy with more house projects. Daddy is laying the new floor in the blurpy thing's room today and mommy is finishing a tile project in the bathroom - so much activity!

Ollie was shocked to find out he'd gotten an Honorable Mention in Skeezik's 2nd Annual Valentine's Day contest for his valentine to his daddy. Thank you to the very esteemed panel of judges for such an honor!! And, cograts to all the winners and everyone who entered because all the Valentine's were so much fun to read!!

Wordless Wednesday

Toesies Tuesday and our New Passports

Mr. Chen is licking his toes very intently. Can you see the good job he did on his toes?? Good cleaning, Mr. Chen! Also, Mommy found the coolest things at the pet store recently. They are our new passports!! Isn't that a great idea? Now, we can have a portable record of all our medical records and immunizations and visits to the V-E-T. Mommy, does that mean we can go away on trips with you and Daddy now?

What a Busy Weekend

What a busy weekend it's been so far. Mommy and Daddy were gone all night Friday night because Mommy's work friends threw them a surprise blurpy thing shower. They got home very late but were happy and so touched and overwhelmed. Then on Saturday Mommy and Daddy were gone all day helping friends move (don't worry, Mommy didn't do any heavy lifting - she got to hold baby Max all day and help do some light cleaning though Daddy sure did his share of lifting) and today they're working on house projects to get ready for the blurpy girl. It's a good thing we got to sleep yesterday because they're making an awful lot of noise today!! I was interested in this carpet project of Daddy's and helped inspect his work. Good job, Daddy!




We hope all kitties and their beans had very happy weekends - whether you were doing your project work or relaxing!

Sunday Chillin

Hope everybody had a great weekend! We're just chilling out this weekend. Mommy and Daddy are around and we're just catching some z's. Last night was the big woofie show on Animal Planet. Mommy is looking forward to watching on TiVo. We probably won't watch but she likes it.

Also, we're sorry to not be posting as much lately. Stoopid blogger has been giving us lots of troubles. Anyone else having issues with Blogger lately?
