Like His Big Brother
It's amazing how much Mr. Chen resembles his big brother, Bingo, sometimes. If you catch him at just the right angle, you would swear Bingo is still with us.

Brothers
Today we went back to the Media Cat Vet. We're becoming quite the regulars there. We thought Ollie had a scratched cornea but it turns out his eyes are inflamed. Could be from the upper respitory infection or who knows. Now, Ollie's on two anti-biotics (liquid and eye cream). Mr. Chen just went along for the ride.
When we got home, Ollie and Mr. Chen were happy as clams and ran around and played and cuddled like always. Tonight Ollie gave Mr. Chen a nice bath. At night Mr. Chen has been licking Ollie but this is the first time we've seen Ollie licking Mr. Chen. So cute!

Chen and Ollie Discover the Sunroom
Wow! What a fun Sunday we're having. Today Uncle Mike and Haley came over and played with us (and gave Ollie some sub-cutaneous fluids so he doesn't get dehydrated). Then, Mommy opened up the sunroom for us to play and explore. We love running through the curtains and fighting each other while wrapped up in them!

First Saturday together
Ollie has a head cold
Media cat vet
Today Chen and Ollie had many new experiences. First, we took them to a new cat vet. Her name is Dr. Margaret Siems. She just opened a practice in Media called The Media Cat Hospital and the office is beautiful. There were toys everywhere and art work with kitties and everything was so clean and wonderful. Chen got a rabies vaccine and another feline leukemia vaccine. Poor Ollie is fighting a bad head cold and has been since we've brought him home so we really wanted to get him checked out. He got pumped with some fluids and Dr. S. gave us new, stronger antibiotics and told us to give him saline and put him in a small bathroom with the hot water running to help clear out his sinuses. Mommy and Ollie had their first of three saunas today! Good for both of them.
Coming Home!
Here are Mr. Chen & Ollie being brought from the wonderful Morris Animal Refuge to our home by their new proud pappa! This was also the first time that they met each other! Leslie at Morris calls it "SEPTA Bus Meeting" when you shove two kitties into a carrier and hope they get along. In this case, we're lucky because the SEPTA Bus Meeting was a hit. Mr. Chen & Ollie became fast friends and love each other to death.
I can't say enough good things about the Morris Animal Refuge. If you live in Philadelphia and are thinking about getting a new pet, please check this place out. They are really amazing there and take superior care of all the little animals that come through their door. Leslie is the adoption coordinator and she couldn't have been more wonderful. Jim and I also have never seen such a busy place. Every time we were there, it was non-stop activity with people coming in and out with stray cats, stray dogs, injured squirrels or coming in to drop off animals people couldn't keep or to pick out their new adopted animals. Thanks Aunt Christine for telling us all about Morris!
